How to search for coupons for items on your grocery list

Dedicating time to saving money with coupons can be difficult! I sometimes have to go on a coupon search for items I have on my grocery list because I never want to pay full price! For those of you that are new to the site and saving money with grocery coupons, here is quick way for you to find coupons for items on your shopping list.

Let’s say a few things on my list are butter, yogurt, granola bars and you haven’t had time to use our sale matchups but you need to get to the store and you at least want to save some money!! Using our coupon database here, search by the term “butter”. There are 26 coupons that include the term butter in our database( includes peanut butter, etc). All of the coupons below are PRINTABLE COUPONS- you can tell because they are in blue. Click on the center column and you will be taken to the site where that printable coupon is found.

Let’s look at yogurt. NEVER PAY FULL PRICE FOR YOGURT!! There are always coupons for yogurt out there. Both printable and Sunday Newspaper inserts. Here is a sample listing from the database:

I added notes at the ** to show which type of coupon these are. If you want to use the first $1/1 yogurt coupon coded SS 09/12/10, that means the coupon can be found in the SS=SmartSource Insert on 9/12/10 edition of newspaper. I do not cut all of my coupons from the newspaper inserts. I file them by date so easy to reference.

Reminder-Newspaper coupons are regional. Your newspaper may have different value than listed or may not be in your insert at all.
