Singles’ Day was founded in the ‘90s by students at Nanjing University as a way to bring single people together. Its China's massive online sales event and sales top more than 2 months of sales on Amazon!! In 2009, Alibaba launched a massive Singles’ Day deals event, which has only grown as other retailers have jumped on the bandwagon.
